Doctors viewpoint — perspective is everything
I have had the privilege of caring for patients at all stages of life. One of the most powerful aspects of my work is the opportunity to witness the end of life and the way in which it can inspire others to live their own lives to the fullest.
Throughout my career, I have seen patients who were once vibrant and full of life, become frail and weak as they approached the end of their journey. Watching the process of dying can be difficult and emotional, but it has also taught me valuable lessons about the fragility and preciousness of life.
One of the most striking things I have observed is the way in which people approach the end of their lives. Some have regrets about things they wish they had done differently, while others are at peace with the way they have lived their lives. This has made me realize the importance of living in the present and making the most of every moment.
It has also reminded me that life is short, and that we should take the time to appreciate the small things and cherish the moments we have with loved ones.
